This course gives design professionals and contractors a thorough knowledge of design and construction practices for interlocking concrete pavements and segmental concrete retaining walls, both high-growth and high-value hardscaping systems. Industry guidelines focus on residential construction with some commercial applications. The course provides critical items to execute and check on site for consistent quality control and quality assurance for long-lasting performance.

Insulating Concrete Forms Installation

ICF session is designed to provide the participant with thorough information and basic skills in the correct construction of walls using insulating concrete forms. Attendees will learn about the materials and products involved, the critical aspects of wall design, assembly and the steps to building walls correctly and efficiently.
1. Summarize the basic skills, materials and products used in insulating concrete forms installation
2. Assess the critical aspects of wall design, assembly and steps for building sustainalbe ICF walls
3. Identify safety issues affected by ICF reinforcement, bracing and scaffolding
4. Troubleshoot installation and repair issues that may arise when building with ICFs
