Get Ready for the New LIHTC Rules with NAHB’s Web Seminar
NAHB Multifamily Presents a Complete Review of Changes to the LIHTC Program
Last summer, as part of the "Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008," Congress enacted important changes to the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program regarding income limits and recertifications. The changes include eliminating the requirement for the annual recertification of tenant incomes in 100% Housing Credit properties and changing how rural rent/income ceilings are determined.
Join NAHB Multifamily on for “LIHTC Income Limits: Keeping Your Property in Compliance with the New Rules,” a one-hour web seminar as experts in LIHTC compliance review these changes and explain how they will affect multifamily businesses. The seminar will take place Thursday, March 26 at 2:00 p.m. ET.
Seminar presenters will:
1) Provide an overview of the new method for calculating income limits in areas held harmless in 2007 or 2008 and the effects on new properties
2) Go over the rural income limits in depth, including how to determine if your property qualifies
3) Discuss the annual tenant income certification waiver in 100% low-income properties and practices to keep your property in compliance
You’ll be able to ask questions via phone after the presentation, or you can submit them in advance to cmcguire@nahb.com. Submit your questions by Friday, March 20.
The cost is $39 per phone site for HCG Steering members, $59 per phone site for HCG Builder members and $89 per phone site for non-members. Active Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) designation holders receive complimentary registration to this event.

 Registration is now open for the 11th annual NAHB National Green Building Conference, set for May 8-10 at the Dallas Hilton Anatole hotel.
To help new and experienced green builders and remodelers thrive in today's uncertain economy, this year's conference is focused on the "green" of green -- how the home building industry can adjust its business practices, revamp marketing plans and refigure budget planning with a new emphasis on green homes that appeal to mainstream buyers.

 Earn PDH, AIA or ASLA credits with PICP Permeable Design Pro webinar series
Controlling the quantity and quality of on-site runoff is a major concern across the country. Design professionals and especially civil engineers are constantly searching for sustainable approaches to site development. Permeable Interlocking Concrete Pavement (PICP) is a fast growing sustainable design approach to stormwater management. To help design professionals and engineers learn more about PICP, the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI) will be conducting a PICP webinar on March 20 and April 2, 2009 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. (EST). The presenter for the webinar is Dave Hein, P.Eng, of ARA Consultants. The webinar will introduce the attendee to PICP, its components and advantages. In addition, Mr. Hein will provide a step-by-step analysis of Permeable Design Pro software and how it handles structural and hydrological design. The presentation will conclude with some details on sustainable design and some construction and maintenance details.

 Tile Roofing Spring Forum Wednesday April 22 - 23, 2009
The Tile Roofing Institute (TRI) Spring Forum – the only industry conference dedicated solely to the tile roofing profession – will return to the Hyatt Regency in Newport Beach, California, Wednesday, April 22nd through Thursday, April 23rd. The semi-annual event offers tile roofing contractors, manufacturers, builders and design professionals a platform for networking, technical updates, market trends and new product showcases.
