NAHB's Pillars of the Industry Awards

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) announced today that it has extended the deadline to apply for its 2006 Pillars of the Industry Awards program, which honors excellence in multifamily design, development, marketing, and management.

Citing the overwhelming response to this year’s awards program, NAHB Multifamily has extended the application deadline to Nov. 15, 2005. The new deadline to submit completed entry portfolios is now Dec. 2, 2005.

NAHB created the Pillars Awards in 1990 to honor superior achievement and leadership in the multifamily industry and to promote the benefits of apartment living. Since then, Pillars has gained the reputation as the most prestigious national awards competition in the industry and is considered a showcase of innovation and future trends.

“Each year the Pillars program proves that today’s rental apartments and for-sale condos are better than ever and offer great design and lifestyle choices to residents,” noted Sharon Dworkin Bell, NAHB’s senior staff vice president for Multifamily. “It’s always a thrill to be able to honor the companies and multifamily professionals involved in the year’s best work.”

Pillars Award finalists will be announced by Jan. 31, 2006.  The winners will be honored at a gala ceremony held in conjunction with NAHB Multifamily’s Pillars of the Industry Conference, April 2-5, 2006 at the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale, AZ. The achievements of the winners will be featured in MultifamilyPro magazine and will be widely promoted by NAHB as examples of the year’s most exciting success stories in the multifamily industry.

More information about the awards and the conference is available at www.nahb.org/pillars.
