A new, free brochure featuring the advantages of residential concrete, “At Home With Concrete:

A Guide to Residential Concrete,” is available to builders, contractors and home buyers interested in the growing popularity of residential concrete construction.

Once confined to foundations, driveways and swimming pools, concrete now accounts for 16% of all above-grade residential walls ― up from 2% in 1993.

The full-color, 20-page brochure, created by NAHB’s Concrete Home Building Council (CHBC), one of the Building Systems Councils (BSC), provides an overview of residential concrete, including interior and exterior applications and popular above-grade wall systems.

To order a free copy of “At Home With Concrete: A Guide to Residential Concrete,” call NAHB’s Building Systems Councils at 800-368-5242 x8576, or visit www.nahb.org/concrete.

Tilt-Up Association Announces New Online Project Resource
The Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) – a non-profit international organization that serves to expand and improve the use of site-cast Tilt-Up as the preferred construction method – has announced the addition of project database and search function on their website.

The new section, found by selecting the “Building with Tilt-Up” from the main menu button at www.tilt-up.org, allows visitors to easily search for project examples based on end-use type including distribution and warehouse, education, housing, manufacturing, office, religious, retail and special use categories. The visitors can then browse case study project examples and photographs under those headings. The material is ideal for use in proposals and sales efforts.

“This new section of our website is a mere whistle-wetter for what is soon to come in the form of the first industry-wide searchable product database due out later this year,” says Baty.

For more information, visit www.tilt-up.org or contact Baty at 319-895-6911.
