  Current Vacancy and 2007 Call for Nominations - RAM Board of Governors

The RAM Board of Governors will elect the next group of termed Governors at the RAM Board of Governors meeting during the NAHB International Builders Show (IBS) and annual convention on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007 in Orlando, Fla. The RAM Board elects members of the RAM Board of Governors for three-year terms.

If you know a RAM who meets the governor qualifications outlined in the RAM Rules of Procedures, and is willing to serve and fulfill these obligations on a national level, please send a brief bio and/or resume of that person, including contact information (address, phone, fax, e-mail) and any other information you think would be helpful in nominating this person to Sheronda Carr at scarr@nahb.com.

There is one current vacancy on the RAM Board of Governors which needs to be filled immediately and four board members whose terms will expire in February 2007.  Individual whose terms expire may nominate themselves if they meet the governor qualifications and desire to serve on the board again.

Governor Qualifications

  1. Must be a Registered Apartment Manager or Advanced RAM, whose membership is in good standing with the National Association of Home Builders.

  2. Must be a member of NAHB or be employed by a member firm.

  3. Must be willing to travel at least three times a year to Convention, Spring, and Fall Board of Directors meetings.

  4. Must be willing to serve a three-year term.

  5. Must be willing to serve on study groups or subcommittees established by the RAM Board Chairman from time to time.

  6. Must be willing to serve as spokesperson for the RAM program within his/her geographical area and relay needs/concerns of membership at large to RAM Board of Governors.

  7. Must have a history of involvement locally with RAM program, Multifamily Council, or Home Builders Association.

  8. Must be willing to contact RAMs whose dues have lapsed for the purpose of bringing them back into the program, and assisting RAMs relocating to their area to become members of the proper HBA.

  9. Must participate in an annual Board Orientation session to be held in conjunction with the NAHB Spring Board meeting.

Sept. 30-Oct. 4, 2009  — Chicago, Ill.  — Fall Board Meeting

*The RAM board meetings will take place on one day during NAHB IBS, Spring Board and Fall Board meetings.  The exact date for the meetings will be provided as meeting dates draw near. These dates are intended to aid in planning your schedules only and are subject to change.
