New Course Approved for CGR Program

Risk Management & Insurance for Building Professionals, a new course developed by The NAHB University of Housing, has been approved for the Certified Graduate Remodelor (CGR) program. That means that CGR candidates can use this course to complete the requirements under the Contracts, Liability and Risk Management category and current CGRs may use this course for continuing education.

Today, builders and remodelers are confronting a liability insurance crisis — liability coverage for builders is less available, more expensive and more restrictive in terms of the coverage afforded. To survive the current crisis, builders must employ comprehensive risk management strategies to reduce construction risks and other exposures. This course is designed to help builders, remodelers and developers avoid risks, minimize risks, transfer risks and, where possible, buy insurance and make insurance claims. The attendees will also be given practical suggestions how to shop for the insurance coverage they need to obtain the most competitive quotes.

Risk Management & Insurance for Building Professionals is available at national shows and local associations. Click here to search for a location near you. [ return to top ]
