  CGR at JLC Live

Learn More, Earn More with two CGR courses offered at JLC LIVE Residential Construction Show in Providence, RI, on Wednesday, March 24.

Construction Law and Contracts
This course provides participants with a better understanding of the advantages and benefits of using written contracts, the necessary and optional provisions and clauses building and remodeling contracts require, and when and how to seek legal help. The focus will be on how to interpret existing contracts, recognize unfavorable provisions, and recognize when to work with an attorney. Students will be equipped with the skills to locate and use state and local information to develop better contracts.

Negotiation Skills for the Master Builder and Remodeler
Builders negotiate daily with customers, employees, subcontractors, suppliers, government officials and others. Negotiating skills often makes the difference between profit and loss, stress and a sense of success. This course will provide students with a practical approach to interpersonal problem solving and suggestions for specific negotiating situations. Students will learn how to reach mutually satisfying outcomes and build positive relations, the basis of any successful business.
