Rob Baugher, of Baugher Design and Remodel in Homewood, Ala., was named the Remodelor of the Year for the state of Alabama.
He began his career as a journeyman with an Atlanta-based construction company more than 30 years ago. Owner of Baugher Design & Remodel, Rob has lead the company to win the 2001 Recognition of Excellence Award by the “Southern Women’s Show” and three Historic Renovation Awards. Remodeling Magazine also selected the company as one of the “Big 50” among remodeling companies in the United States.
While hosting his talk radio home show on weekends for three years, he met others who now have him writing a monthly column for a local magazine. Baugher is an active member of the Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders and the Remodelors Council. Besides the Certified Graduate Remodelor designation, he has also earned the Certified Graduate Builder, Graduate Master Builder and Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist designations.
