Jeff Hunt Named CGR Designee of the Year
Jeff Hunt, CGR, CAPS, GMB puts his ongoing professional education to work for his clients
Jeff Hunt was one of five professionals who were honored as designees of the year at the 2007 International Builders' Show in Orlando, Fla.
“These designees not only use innovative practices and techniques to encourage continued education in our industry, they make their day-to-day careers a real world example,” said Antonio Giordano Jr. of Mast Construction, Inc. in Providence, R.I. Giordano serves as the 2007 chair of the CGB Board of Governors and is a GMB designee.
“Each and every building professional who earns a designation comes out with a high level of expertise that can benefit their clients," said Giordano. The difference with these honorees is that not only do they take pride in increasing awareness of professional designation by leveraging them with consumers, but they all firmly believe that continued education is one of the surest ways to advance our industry.”
Hunt grew up in the construction business, working as a carpenter for his father — a custom home builder. He earned a bachelor’s degree in construction science and later his MBA from Texas A&M University, working for major commercial contracting companies, Anderson Consulting and Arthur Anderson as a management consultant. In 2002, he returned to his roots to found Heritage Construction, specializing in large-scale additions, kitchens, bathrooms and custom homes.
In addition, Hunt was named both the 2006 and 2007 Greater Houston Home Builder’s Association Remodelor of the year, as well as the National NAHB Remodeler of the month for August of 2006.
