Can You Find Yourself in the Directory?

Can You Find Yourself in the Directory?

NAHB has two online remodeler directories!

As a benefit of earning a designation or by being a member of the Remodelors Council, your company name and contact information is listed on nahb.org for consumers to find you. But which directory is your company listed? Don't you want to be listed in both directories? The benefit of exposure is invaluable.

To help guide you through your benefits review the information below:

Two Directories?

Builder and Remodeler Designation Directory

The NAHB University of Housing manages the “Builder and Remodeler Designation Directory” which allows consumers to locate builders and remodelers who have obtained the CGB, GMB, CGR, or CAPS designations. Additionally, builders can search this directory for Certified Graduate Associates (CGAs). To be included in this directory, one must hold one of the above mentioned designations and be in good standing.

Directory of Professional Remodelers

The Remodelors Council manages the “Directory of Professional Remodelers” which allows consumers to locate “professional home remodelers.” In order to be in this directory one must be a member of the Remodelors Council through your local HBA or at-large.

As a Remodelors Council member the Directory of Professional Remodelors is promoted through the nahb.org consumer web pages, House Beautiful Kitchen and Baths and House Beautiful Remodeling magazines and other public relations efforts, with more promotions on the way. For more information on the benefits of joining the Remodelors Council click here.

Searching

If you are unable to find your company on either of these directories, perhaps one of these questions will help you:

  1. Do you hold a CGB, GMB, CGR, or CAPS Designation?
  2. If yes, are you in good standing?

If you answered ‘YES’ to both questions 1 & 2 then you should be in the Builder and Remodeler Designation Directory.

  1. Are you a member of NAHB?
  2. Are you an NAHB designee holder and a member of the Remodelors Council through your local HBA or an at-large member of the Remodelors Council?

If you answered ‘YES’ to questions 3 & 4 then you should find yourself ALSO in the Directory of Professional Remodelers.

Still Searching

If you are still experiencing difficulties locating your listing:

  1. If you believe you should be listed on the Directory of Professional Remodelers and you are a member of the Remodelors Council you need to contact Barbara Drobins at 800-368-5242 x8271 or via e-mail at bdrobins@nahb.com.
  2. If you believe you should be listed on the Builder and Remodeler Designation Directory and cannot find your listing, then you should contact Gevenia Blair, Program Coordinator at 800-368-5242 x8155 or via e-mail at gblair@nahb.com.

Incorrect Information?

If you need to update your information on:

  1. The Builder and Remodeler Designation Directory, contact Gevenia Blair at 800-368-5242 x8155 or via e-mail at gblair@nahb.com
  2. The Directory of Professional Remodelers, contact your local HBA. All data is received from local home builders associations.
