Free Webinar to Discuss Negotiating with Lender

A free webinar entitled, “Negotiating with YOUR Lender” will be held on Wednesday, April 29, from 2:00-3:00 p.m., EDT.

Supported by the NAHB’s Business Management & Information Technology Committee, the program is sponsored by Builders CoPilot™  and will feature a slate of home building industry professionals.

Home builders and developers are caught in a debacle with the credit crisis that plagues the nation’s financial institutions. Traditional lending sources are increasingly pressured to be profitable and stable by regulators. Financial institutions that have been traditional business partners are now doing business under vastly different circumstances and new regulations.

These changes challenge even the most robust builders who search for ways to keep negotiation options open with their lenders.

During the discussion, audience members will learn about:

  • Practices other builders have found to work when negotiating with lenders

Understanding the pressure lenders face in the credit crisis

  • Alternative and creative solutions employed by lenders and builders
  • Practices of negotiating that will create demise for the builder

Panelists

  • Greg Isenhour, Guts, Inc.  (moderator)
  • Steve S. Camp, Partner, Gardere Wynn Sewell LLP
  • Perry Hedrick, Vice President, Regions Financial Services
  • Chris Valentine, Hearthside Homes, Kansas City, Mo.
  • Joe Lemel, Lemel Homes, Glendale, Wis.
  • Curt Blomstrand, Focus Realty, Lafayette, Calif.
