NEW MEMBER

Joel Burcat is a partner with Saul Ewing LLP in Harrisburg, PA.  Mr. Burcat's primary areas of practice are environmental law and litigation, regulatory takings, nautural resources law, civil litigation and administrative law.  He is also a certified mediator in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.  In addition to private law practice over the last two decades, Mr. Burcat has served as general counsel for the National Wilderness Institute and as Special Counsel to the Pennsylvania Senate Committee on Environmental Resources and Energy.  He is widely published with contributions to books, law reviews and professional publications. 

Mr. Burcat graduated from Vermont Law School in 1980, and holds a Bachelor of Science from Pennsylvania State University.  He is licensed by the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd and Federal circuits, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the U.S. District Court in several jurisdictions, and the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
