Marc D. Jonas is a shareholder of Eastburn and Gray, P.C. He has extensive experience in real estate, land use, and zoning matters, representing individuals, businesses, and municipalities. Mr. Jonas serves as Solicitor to Marlborough Township and to Kennett Square Borough; Special Zoning Solicitor for Narberth Borough; Solicitor to Thornbury Township Planning Commission, Chester County and Solicitor to the Zoning Hearing Boards of Towamencin and Lower Salford Townships. He has been qualified as an expert witness in zoning law in the Court of Common Pleas of Montgomery County and has published articles in the Tri-State Real Estate Journal, Commercial Investment Real Estate Journal, Township Solicitor, The Legal Intelligencer, and The American Bar Association ABA Journal. Mr. Jonas is a member of the Pennsylvania and Montgomery Bar Associations and chairs the Montgomery Bar Association Real Estate Committee.He was interviewed by Lawyers Weekly USA with regard to a recent 11th circuit opinion concerning the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act of 2000, and was also interviewed by Alan Colmes for the Fox News show Hannity & Colmes regarding the same act. Mr. Jonas was selected by his peers as one of the Pennsylvania’s Super Lawyers for 2004. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and received his J.D. from its law school in 1972. Upon graduation, he served as a law clerk to President Judge James S. Bowman of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.

 

 

Deron R. Hicks is a partner in the law firm of Page, Scrantom, Sprouse, Tucker & Ford, P.C. in Columbus, Georgia. Mr. Hicks represents numerous builders, developers and trade associations in Georgia. Mr. Hicks' practice focuses on land use and development issues, impact fees and regulation of the building industry by local governments. Mr. Hicks is an adjunct professor of law at Mercer Law School in Macon, Georgia. He is a graduate of Mercer Law School and has a Bachelors degree from the University of Georgia. Mr. Hicks is admitted to practice before all the trial and appellate courts in Georgia. all of the United States District Courts in Georgia, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

 

Ned Nicholson is a native of Edgefield, South Carolina. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Nicholson served for two years as Judicial Clerk to The Honorable Thomas L. Hughston, Jr., Judge, Eighth Judicial Circuit, South Carolina.

He joined McNair Law Firm, P.A. in August 1989, and was a shareholder in the Litigation Section before becoming Of Counsel in 1996. He again became a shareholder in 2003. During his time with McNair, he also for several years served as General Counsel to one of the largest human resources outsourcing companies in the country.

Mr. Nicholson has extensive experience in state and federal trial and appellate courts throughout the country. Mr. Nicholson’s area of practice includes general commercial litigation and arbitration, technology litigation, insurance coverage disputes and construction law. He regualrly represents clients in business disputes and business dissolutions, technology implementation claims, manufacturer/dealer disputes; franchisor/franchisee disputes, unfair trade practice claims, contract disputes, employment lawsuits, insurance coverage and bad faith claims, and construction matters (contract drafting, defective work claims, delay claims and mechanics liens). He has also participated part in over a hundred mediations for clients seeking settlement of claims out of court.

Paul M. Terrill III is a founder and shareholder in Hazen & Terrill, P.C. in Austin Texas. Mr. Terrill's practice focuses on representing landowners in various environmental, natural resource and land use contexts including:  groundwater and surface water rights, water utilities, the Endangered Species Act, Open Beaches Act and other coastal property issues, federal and state superfund facilities, and regulatory takings. Mr. Terrill is a member of the Environmental, Administrative and Appellate Sections of the Texas State Bar and has written and spoken on various environmental, natural resource and regulatory takings issues. Mr. Terrill is president of the Austin Lawyer's Chapter of the Federalist Society. Mr. Terrill is a graduate of the University of Colorado School of Law and has a Bachelors degree in history from the University of Texas.  Mr. Terrill is admitted to practice before the courts in Texas, all of the U.S. District Courts in Texas, the Courts of Appeal for the Fifth and D.C. Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
