NSMC Announces "The Nationals" Call for Entries
Residential builders, interior designers, architects, landscape architects, and others involved with the building industry are invited to enter "The Nationals" awards competition conducted by the National Sales and Marketing Council (NSMC) of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

Now in its 23rd year, The Nationals awards program recognizes superior new-home sales and marketing achievements by individuals in the field. It is open to home builders, developers, associates and consultants involved in the sales or marketing of new homes or communities and honors those who have demonstrated a commitment to innovation, imagination and marketing flair.

The Nationals awards program is the largest and most prestigious program of its kind, and categories mirror real world marketing strategies and problems. Among them are architectural achievement, project graphics, advertising, and Web sites, to name a few.

"Architects and builders join marketing colleagues in the judging panels, along with market research consultants, trade publishers and senior editors. All are committed to devoting fair and full attention to each entrant," said 2003 Awards Judge Bill Kreager, MIRM, FAIA, of Mithun Architects+Designers+Planners. In addition to traditional categories, The Nationals program recognizes a Community of the Year selected from affordable, attached and detached project categories. Also honored are "The Legends of Residential Marketing," people who have made substantial contributions to the industry during their careers and demonstrate exceptional creativity and innovation in home marketing.

More than 1,000 building professionals attend The Nationals Awards show each year, and some sponsorship opportunities are still available. Some of this year’s sponsors include Gladiator Garage Works, KitchenAid, Whirlpool, Countrywide Home Loans National Builder Division, Feinberg & Associates, HomeBuilder.com, Wells-Fargo Home Mortgage, Builder, and Housing Guides of America. For questions regarding sponsorship, log on to www.thenationals.com, or contact Steve Bunce at 800-368-5242 x8690.

The deadline for entries in all categories is October 3, 2003. Visit www.thenationals.com to download entry materials and categories. For more information, please call Peter Mayer at 800-658-2751 or 909-987-2758.

Awards will be presented at NAHB’s International Builders' Show ® (IBS) on January 19, 2004 at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. [ return to top ]
