NAHB Is Assisting in Disaster Recovery Efforts

In the aftermath of Hurricane Charley in Florida and another round of devastating forest fires in California, NAHB has been in touch with the state HBAs and is offering the help of disaster recovery experts. NAHB is also offering resources for locals to use in getting out the word that disaster victims should use licensed contractors and be especially wary of fly-by-night operators. We've also facilitated access to resources on the Web that will allow members to apply for U.S. Small Business Administration Disaster Loan Assistance and help children cope with these events. Florida builders have also established an impressive Disaster Contractors Network to help organize contractors who are able to help with the reconstruction process. Contact Kym Kilbourne at kkilbourne@nahb.com for more information. [ return to top ]
