2006 IBS A Big Success for NSMC!
Record attendance numbers, gorgeous weather, and a top-notch schedule of events devoted to sales and marketing made the 2006 International Builders’ Show in Orlando a hit. More than 105,000 housing professionals attended the show, taking in miles and miles of show floor eye candy and countless hours of learning and networking.
The National Sales and Marketing Council’s many events were well-attended, with most sold out or near capacity. Some highlights included:
- IRM Research Project of the Year: Results of the study, “Builder and Buyer Online Behavior Revealed” were unveiled at a special education session. Results showed that a real discrepancy exists between what home buyers do to find new homes and what builders think they do! Results can be found at www.homebuilder.com/irm. Our next research initiative is underway now! Check out details in this month's eNews.
- NSMC/IRM Networking Night: Cigars were rolled, mojitos were sipped, and a great time was had by all at this year’s Havana Nights Fiesta. Held at the office of Kay Green Design, Inc., guests were treated to a scrumptious buffet, salsa dancing lessons, and even a fab goodie bag! The Council would like to thank Kay Green and her daughter Ashley for putting on the event and being such gracious hostesses.
- NSMC/IRM Booth: Our booth (see photo above) caught the attention of a lot of people who had never heard of the Council. The best promoters of the benefits of membership were our member volunteers, who made time in their overbooked schedules to greet visitors and answer their questions about the Council and IRM. Thank you, volunteers! Your enthusiasm is contagious!
