Introducing the Newly Elected 2009 IRM Trustees...
The Institute of Residential Marketing recently conducted elections for its IRM Board of Trustees, electing five new trustees for 2009. Their three-year terms start following the 2009 International Builders’ Show.
Elected by the IRM membership, the IRM Board of Trustees, with the assistance of various IRM committees, develops and provides sales and marketing educational support and programs for NAHB members. The IRM Board also keeps building industry professionals aware of new marketing trends and techniques and provides various forums for IRM members to exchange ideas and discuss common interests.
Newly elected IRM trustees are as follows:

Rochelle Barcellona, CMP, MIRM, (associate) is the president and creative director of Barcellona, Inc. She has led her agency to win more than 300 industry awards. She has received the “Lifetime Achievement Award” from the Sacramento Public Relations Association. Rochelle sits on the NAHB Board of Directors and is a NSMC Trustee. She is the chair of the Sales & Marketing Ideas Editorial Advisory Group, a member of the IRM Education Committee and National Sales and Marketing Advisory Committee. She holds her MIRM and CMP designations and teaches IRM III. Rochelle sits on the Public Affairs Committee and the Green Building Taskforce for the California Building Industry Association. Rochelle is a member of the North State BIA.

Roger Fiehn, MIRM, continues to actively support NAHB, NSMC and IRM through participation in a variety of committees and serves as Vice Chair of the NSMC Membership Committee. He is one of the most active Principal Instructors of the University of Housing and past recipient of the coveted Trina Ripley “Excellence in Education,” “Bill Molster,” “Sales Manager of the Year” and “Salesperson of the Year” awards. His company helps progressive builders, developers and brokers to develop management, marketing and sales systems that ensure consistent growth and profitability.

Brian Flook, MIRM, is the President of Power Marketing & Advertising, Inc., an advertising, marketing and sales consulting firm that focuses specifically on the new home and real estate industry. He has Bachelors degrees in Leadership Development and in Business Administration from Wheeling Jesuit University. Brian speaks and trains nationally and has been a featured trainer at the International Builders’ Show every year since 1996, the Systems Built Sales & Marketing Showcase Conference and for numerous other conferences, events and builders. He is also a published author and serves on the SMI Editorial Advisory Group for NSMC and participates regularly with the BSC and NSMC. Brian earned his MIRM in 1991.

Mitch Levinson, MIRM, is founder and president of MLC New Home Marketing and managing partner of mRELEVANCE, LLC, a marketing firm focused on providing relevant internet, public relations and social media strategies to home builders and developers. As a Multi-Million Dollar Sales Producer who earned an MBA in Computer Information Systems and eCommerce, he combines a love of technology and real estate as he helps builders and agents market their services. Mitch administers University of Housing courses for the Illinois Regional Education Board, a joint effort of the five Chicagoland Homebuilders Associations. Mitch is a member of both the Greater Atlanta HBA and the HBA of Greater Chicago Sales and Marketing Councils. He serves on several NSMC committees including Marketing and Education and is a regular attendee at Spring and Fall Boards, along with IBS.

Beth Sturm, CSP, MIRM, is the Managing Partner of Carbine Realty Group LLC, the Real Estate Sales and Marketing arm of Carbine Development in Franklin, Tennessee. Carbine Development is a developer of Master Planned communities in the Southeast. Beth also oversees sales and marketing for the company’s Homebuilding, Commercial and Technology divisions. She is a past recipient of The Nationals Silver Award for Marketing Director of the Year. Beth is a member of the Home Builders Association of Middle Tennessee where she was a member of the Board of Directors. She also served as President of the Sales and Marketing Council and Membership Committee Chair.
All activities by the IRM Board are reported to the National Sales and Marketing Council Board of Trustees for their approval. IRM trustees advocate NSMC/IRM benefits by promoting IRM during client meetings, education courses, local Sales and Marketing Council meetings and events, and throughout the industry.
