Continuing Education Opportunities: Look No Further than Your Local SMC

So you need to earn continuing education credits, but couldn't make it to Vegas for all the IBS programs? Try your local SMC!

Two full hours of instruction at a SMC counts as one continuing education hour. You can earn up to five continuing education credits (meaning you can apply a maximum of 10 hours of HBA/SMC programs to your credits). The catch is that they cannot be one of the IRM I - IV courses. Other IRM courses, such as House Construction as a Selling Tool, can count as continuing education.

Check out the new SMC Directory available to see which SMCs are in your area. You may discover that another SMC nearby is offering a course that your home SMC is not.

Don't rule HBA programs out either! If your SMC doesn't have anything coming up, see if the HBA is putting on an education program. The same conversion rate applies -- two HBA hours equal one continuing education credit.
