Details on The Nationals and What Your Member Benefits Are Really Worth

What happened at the SMC Workshop? Here's the scoop:

Lisa Parrish discussed the benefits of rollover programs to coordinate local award programs with The Nationals, and what to promote to make your SMC's rollover program a success:

  • What are the benefits of using a rollover program?
    • One step to enter in both local (and/or state) programs and The Nationals
      • Entrants get double the opportunity for a single entry
      • This provides extra exposure for the community or project
    • No extra work for staff or volunteers beyond shipping the local entries on to The Nationals
      • The Nationals even pays for the shipping costs
      • Entries for The Nationals will be invoiced directly

  • Do rollover programs really work?
    • More than 80 entries rolled over from the Denver SMC alone
    • The Southern California SMC has had four years of success with their program

  • What if our SMC has already had our awards?
    • Call Lisa Parrish at 800-658-2751
    • The Nationals team will contact the winners and entrants

In addition to discounted entry fees for The Nationals, Anne Ladewig, NSMC's Marketing Manager, also discussed the value of all the member benefits, with some help from Roger Fiehn, Fellow, MIRM, CMP, Chair of the NSMC Local Councils and Membership Committee.
