T.W. Lewis Homes Achieves NHQ Builder Certification

T.W. Lewis Homes of Tempe, Ariz. was recently awarded the nation’s latest NHQ Certified Builder designation following a rigorous NAHB Research Center audit of the implementation of their quality assurance systems.

T.W. Lewis Homes of Tempe, Ariz. was recently awarded the nation’s latest NHQ Certified Builder designation following a rigorous NAHB Research Center audit of the implementation of their quality assurance systems. T.W. Lewis the third home builder in Arizona to successfully complete the program and earn the certification since its launch in 2005.

Established in 1991, T.W. Lewis has built between 250 and 350 homes each year and has established a reputation as an industry leader in the areas of product quality and customer service. In 1998, the company was recognized for its commitment to quality as an NHQ Silver Award winner, and as one of America's Best Builders by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and Builder magazine.

Even with its impressive performance record and numerous industry awards, T.W. Lewis Homes has maintained its commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction, demonstrated by its successful participation in the NHQ Certified Builder program. According to Tom Lewis, owner and CEO, “When I founded T.W. Lewis more than a decade ago, I saw an opportunity to create a home building organization that was different and better. T.W. Lewis concentrates on its commitment to quality rather than quantity of houses built and continues to showcase the core qualities that have made us successful: design, workmanship, attention to detail, and customer service.”

The NHQ Certified Builder Program was initiated to foster consistency and quality in building practices. Since its launch in early 2005, participating NHQ Certified Builders have noted measurable improvements in their productivity, homebuyer satisfaction, and their bottom lines.

If your company has a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, a focus on quality assurance and continuous improvement, and strives for operational excellence, start on the path to NHQ certification today. Visit www.nahbrc.org/quality or contact Frank Alexander, NHQ programs director.
