NAHB Greens Up the News During Remodeling Month
NAHB Remodelers once again appeared in top news outlets from across the country, as our public relations efforts — in conjunction with National Remodeling Month this May — helped raise the profile of the association and industry.
NAHB kicked off Remodeling Month with a teleconference on the market featuring current NAHB Remodelers Chair Mike Nagel, which was attended by near 70 people — including news outlets like Reuters and NPR. Additionally, local HBAs across the country sent out news releases and held events in conjunction with the month. As a result, Nagel recently appeared in the Washington Times to talk about aging in place.
Showcasing the depth of NAHB’s resources, NAHB’s production group worked with NAHB Remodelers to produce the hour special “20 Ways to Add Value to Your Home” on HGTV. The show aired several times as part of the network’s sweeps week, and included NAHB Remodelers Vince Butler and Mark Richardson.
