NAHB Research Center Offers New Green Tools, Services
The NAHB Research Center, which administers all NAHBGreen certification and verification services, reports that 333 projects have been certified and more than 4,500 are in the certification pipeline.

The Research Center is also making available additional tools and services:

New Certification Fact Sheets. The Research Center has created a number of fact sheets to help explain and market National Green Building Certification and more are in development. Topics include a National Green Building Certification Overview; 5 Simple Steps to Certification; National Green Building Standard Overview; and Green Remodeling Certification Overview. Affiliated HBAs can use these fact sheets as handouts for membership meetings, trade shows and new member/recruitment packages, or to re-purpose the content for use in newsletters or articles in the local media.

Dual Certification with DOE’s Builders Challenge. In June, the Research Center added a new option under National Green Building Certification -- dual certification to the National Green Building Standard and the U.S. Department of Energy Builders Challenge program – saving time and money for participating builders.

LINKEDIN Group. The NAHB Research Center has established a professional networking group on LinkedIn to help builders and remodelers collaborate with qualified professionals and further their green educations. Create a LinkedIn profile or use your existing profile to join the National Green Building Certification  group. The goal is to provide a collaborative and supportive environment for national certification program participants to learn from and share with each other. [return to top]
