Awards: CADRE, Remodelor of the Year Award Deadlines; Remodelor of the Month, Seniors

Nominate The Best of the Best Today for Remodelor of the Year, Deadline Sept. 3

The Remodelor™ of the Year Award is quickly approaching. Nominate someone you think is the best of the best in the remodeling industry today!

The Remodelor of the Year Award recognizes exemplary NAHB involvement at any level, superior business management, and an outstanding contribution to the remodeling industry. Councils should nominate individual remodelers, but the nominee must write his or her own entry essay. All entries in this category must come from local councils.

Click here for a Remodelor of the Year application. The award will be presented at the Remodelors Council Gala during the 2004 Remodeling Show in Chicago (Oct. 8).

The Remodelor of the Year award is sponsored by Qualified Remodeler magazine. The winner will be featured in an issue of the Qualified Remodeler magazine.

Don’t Miss This Year’s CADRE Award Deadline, Sept. 3

The Council Awards for Demonstrating Remodeling Excellence (CADRE) are the highest honors awarded to local Remodelors Councils for superior member service.

Show off your local council’s achievements by submitting a CADRE Award application today. Enter the CADREs and win recognition for your great work! CADRE Awards entries are due by Friday, Sept. 3. The winners will be announced at the Remodelors Council Gala during the 2004 Remodeling Show in Chicago (Oct. 8).

  • Outstanding Associate Member

Mark Your Calendar for the Remodelor of the Month Program

After taking a brief hiatus, the Remodelors Council has reinstated its Remodelor of the Month award program beginning in October.
    
The program groups local councils from different states into designated months. There will be two “wild card” months which will allow the Council’s members-at-large to participate in the program. A winner will be chosen each month and that winner will then be automatically included in the nominations for the Remodelor of the Year award.
    
This is a great opportunity for local councils and members to get involved and submit their “best of the best” members to compete with other councils. The national Remodelors Council will send out press releases and highlight each winner in ReNews.

Seniors Housing Awards Include Aging in Place, Renovation Categories

Does your company have an innovative marketing campaign to promote your active adult or seniors community? The NAHB Seniors Housing Council has expanded its 2005 Best of Seniors Housing awards program to include 108 categories, including 31 for marketing. Among the new marketing categories are logo, community brochure, direct mail piece/campaign, Web site, black-and-white and color print advertisements, radio and television commercials, and special promotion for active adult, service-enriched, and multifamily communities.

The 2005 Best of Seniors Housing design and marketing awards program, "Celebrating Excellence ... Visions of the Future," also includes 77 design categories, offering plenty of opportunities for recognition. Design categories include:

  • Multifamily housing — for-sale condominiums, rental apartments, and affordable apartments
