Don't Miss Remodelors Night Out During Fall Board
Join your fellow Remodelors Council members for the famous Remodelors Night Out during the Fall Board meeting in Columbus, Ohio, at The North Market, Thursday, Sept. 29 from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Throughout its history, the North Market has served most importantly as a meeting place. Although today’s North Market may differ from the original Market established in 1876, the purpose remains the same. It’s a place where people gather to eat, drink, mingle and enjoy themselves. The market closes at 7:00 p.m., come early to shop!
Price of admission includes beer and wine, assorted appetizers, good music and great conversation. This is an outside event, please dress accordingly. In the case of rain, the event will move inside to the 2nd floor.
Don’t miss out on this chance to experience the fun side of the Remodelors Council! A reservation is required for this event. Reservations are $40 per person.

Before the Remodeling Show, Take Classes to Earn Your CAPS, CGR Designation
This year’s Remodeling Show, produced by Hanley-Wood and sponsored by NAHB and the Remodelors Council takes place Oct. 6-9 at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago. The pre-Show education courses begin on Monday, Oct. 4
Work toward your Certified Graduate Remodelor™ (CGR) or Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation before you walk the more than 87,000 square feet of exhibit space and mingle with more than 10,000 builders and remodelers.
This year’s pre-show education courses include:

Scheduling
Introduction to Business Management
Sales & Marketing for Remodelers
Working with And Marketing to Older Adults
Home Modifications

The Remodelors Council invites your to join the Council and your peers at a number of events during the Remodeling Show. Celebrate this year's achievements and congratulate honored award winners while networking with the industry's best professionals.
Remodelors Council Leadership Training
Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1:00-5:00 p.m.
Current and future leaders of local Remodelors Councils will learn how to succeed as a Remodelors Council chair and vice chair by running effective meetings, growing your membership and creating successful programs and more! A reception will follow the workshop. Registration is requested by Sept. 29. E-mail Debbie Leitner to register for this event.
Certified Graduate Remodelor Reception
Wednesday, Oct. 6, 6:30-9:00 p.m.
The Certified Graduate Remodelor™ Reception is open to CGRs and CGR candidates. Reconnect with your CGR peers and congratulate the 2004 graduates. The event is free for CGRs and includes one guest with advance registration. Without advance registration a $20 fee is charged at the door. All non-CGRs who have completed PREP may register for $40. The CGR reception, held in Palmer House Hilton’s The Empire Room, includes an open bar and light fair. Register via e-mail to Remodelors Council by Sept. 29. (dress is business casual)
Joint Venture Workshop

Whether you have a current program you want to improve or are thinking about starting one, NAHB’s University of Housing has developed the resources you need to make them successful. NAHB Remodelors Council Gala
Friday, Oct. 8, 6:30-11:00 p.m.
The premier event of the NAHB Remodelors Council’s calendar, the Gala celebrates the achievements of the 2004 Class of the America’s Best National Remodeling Hall of Fame, 2004 CADRE Award winners and Remodelor™ of the Year. A cocktail reception will be followed by an awards presentation, dinner and dancing. Advanced registration is required; ticket prices are $80 NAHB Member and $90 Non-NAHB Member (dress is black tie optional). Reservations for the Gala can be made when registering for the Show.
