Another Banner Year for CGR

2004 was a great year for the Certified Graduate Remodelor™ designation program. This year, the CGR program broke last year's graduation record when 149 professionals received their CGR designation. This brings the total of CGR graduates since the program in 1989 to 1,268.

NAHB and the University of Housing also celebrated a successful inaugural National Designation Month which was held in February. The designation month increased the awareness of all the professional designations offered by NAHB and are now recognized and demanded of in the consumer marketplace. A total of 62 CGR courses were held in February.

This year, the Remodelors Council re-designed the CGR graduation package to include the graduate’s framed certificate, designation program consumer brochure, continuing education requirement information and the program’s code of ethics. And launched the Inaugural issue of the CGReport Online on March 31.

Also this year , the RC implemented a new innovative consumer marketing campaign. The RC redesigned the public CGR web pages on www.nahb.org/cgr, updated the CGR web directory to make it easier for consumers to find CGR professionals and created new CGR consumer and trade magazine ads that will be featured in Hanley Wood House Beautiful special interest publications and as well as Hanley Wood trade and Qualified Remodelor publications.
