Be on HGTV

HGTV's latest one-hour special, "20 Ways to Add Value to Your Home." is looking for a great remodel with fantastic home owners to show it off for the cameras! Here's what they're looking for:

  • TV-friendly, fun, energetic homeowners with a good sense of humor to show us their remodel of either a:
    • home office
    • new roof
    • add bathroom
    • replace windows
    • add deck
    • minor kitchen
    • minor bath
    • siding
  • Dramatic "before" photos or home video that shows how much better that remodeled space looks today.
  • A great story about how the remodel "adds value" to their home so that someday if they do decide to sell, they are better off.
  • Home owners willing to let our crew interview them on camera, film them showing the producers around the house, etc.
Note: The main criteria is that the home is NOT brick in any form and NOT colonial style. (they've already shot many of that kind, and need to show a more balanced look of house styles for the program). They would love to find a Ranch, Tudor, Stucco, Victorian, Bungalow, Log, Timber Frame, Greek, Contemporary, etc.

They also would like to not to show homes that have been completely remodeled but instead ones that are more project-specific.

If anyone has a great remodel with home owners that would be perfect for TV, please contact Jesse Achtenberg at 202-266-8142 or Skye Trimble at 202-747-4622, both of the NAHB Production Group.
