SHC News and Events: Fall Board and More

SIgn Up for Fall Board In Reno

Don’t miss the Fall Board of Directors meeting in Reno, Nev., from September 7 – 11. Registration and housing are open at www.nahb.org/FallBoard.  

Join your fellow Seniors Housing Council members for the Leadership Dinner during Fall Board on Thursday, September 8, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at La Vecchia Italian Restaurant in Reno. The highlight of the evening will be a presentation by builder Ralph Spargo of Standard Pacific, who will discuss industry trends, and Jeff Smedley of Mature Living Choices, who will share preliminary results of his company's national consumer survey. In addition to hearing from the experts, attendees will have an opportunity to network with fellow SHC members.

Learn How to Design for the Active Adult

The highly popular Designing for the Active Adult course, which was sold out at Building for Boomers & Beyond 2005 this spring in Chantilly, Va., is beign offered at local HBAs across the country.  The course will be offered this fall in Rochester, N.Y.; Long Beach, Calif.; and Rockville, Md.  And for those of you headed to Orlando, Fla., for the 2006 International Builders' Show, Designing for the Active Adult will be available as a pre-conference course.
