Network With SHC Members

To better connect our members, the NAHB Seniors Housing Council recently launched its Online Membership Directory at www.nahb.org/SHCdirectory. The new directory is a prime networking tool, allowing you to contact SHC at-large and local council members. You can search by using a single keyword, such as a member’s first name, last name, company, or city. You also can locate members by state, activity, specialty, or local council.

The directory is an exclusive benefit of NAHB Seniors Housing Council members. However, to access the directory and other members-only resources on www.nahb.org, you will need a username and password.

To create your login:

1. Go to www.nahb.org/login
2. Enter the required fields. You will need to enter your state, a username (your email address), a password of your choice, and your NAHB PIN.  Your PIN can be found on your membership card. If you need help, or don’t know your NAHB PIN, call 800-368-5242 x0 or e-mail your name, company name, state, and phone number to login@nahb.org.
3. Click Submit. Be sure to check the Remember my username and password box so that the system will recognize you when you return.

Once you’ve logged in, take a moment to personalize the site to match your interest to Seniors Housing. This will make it easier to access all Seniors Housing Council resources, including the Online Seniors Housing Council Membership Directory, upcoming events and activities, and the latest research.

To set your content preferences, you should:

1. Click the My Profile link which appears in the blue header.
2. Click the Edit Content Preferences link.
3. Check all topics that interest you, including Seniors Housing Council, which is under “Community” then “Councils.”
4. Click Submit.

You can change your content preferences as often as you like. To learn more about customizing the site, visit the How to Use www.nahb.org in the My NAHB section.
