Industry Forum: New Directions for the 50+ Housing Industry

Don’t miss this opportunity to network and learn from your peers. Market researcher Margaret Wylde of ProMatura Group, LLC, will share preliminary results from her 2005 active adult consumer study. Rob Gillette of American House will discuss an innovative condominium concept in his market that successfully combines independent living and affordability.

The dinner will be held at beautiful Shingle Creek Golf Club, less than a mile from the Orange County Convention Center. Your registration fee includes dinner, dessert, and two drink tickets. Emceed by Tim Sullivan, president of Sullivan Group Real Estate Advisors, the luncheon is the place to note trends, get inspired, and see what’s happening across the country while celebrating the best in the field.

Inside the Mind of the Active Adult Home Buyer — Marketing Breakfast
Thursday, January 12, 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

Peer into the mind of today’s active adults as you learn the results of a just-completed nationwide survey of prospective 50+ homebuyers. Discover what they want, need, and desire, as well as what they don’t want. As the survey results are being presented, hear from three builders how the results compare to buyers in their markets. This breakfast program is a MUST for anyone interested in today’s fast-growing housing market.

50+ Housing Council Active Adult Community Bus Tour
Friday, January 13, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Tracy Lux of Trace Marketing, Inc., in Sarasota, FL, one of Florida’s leading active adult housing experts, starts off the tour with a market overview. Lux will discuss where the state’s mature buyers come from, what they are looking for, and other demographic information on this burgeoning market.
The first stop on the tour is Avatar Properties' award-winning Solivita, one of Florida’s best-selling retirement communities for ages 55 and better. The next stop is Royal Harbor, a waterfront retirement community by Pringle Development. The final community is Legacy at Leesburg, an age-qualified community by Pringle. Cost is $75 per person, which includes transportation in deluxe motor coach, refreshments, and lunch.
