New 50+ Housing Council Resources Online

New, easy way to update your contact information
Have you moved? Changed your email address? Now there’s a fast, easy way for you to let NAHB know. Simply log on to www.nahb.org/myinfo and follow these three steps:

  1. Review your current NAHB contact record
  2. Edit and/or add the necessary updates and submit your information (NAHB PIN is not editable)
  3. NAHB will update records on a weekly basis, and where applicable, provide changes to local HBA(s) via their monthly membership reports

WMS New Functionality
For those associations using the WMS Program who have opted out of receiving National Membership printed reports, NAHB will no longer mail or email your council reports. To access your council reports, log into the WMS and click on View Reports. Should you need assistance or more information about the WMS Program, please contact our WMS Help Team at WMSHelp@nahb.com or call 800-368-5242 x8700.

NAHB Launches Effort to Coordinate Building Material Donations
In response to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, NAHB received numerous offers from members who wanted to donate materials or products to help victims in the Gulf Coast. Now that efforts are directed at rebuilding the devastated areas, members are encouraged to join NAHB’s industry-wide effort to make their donations through Gifts In Kind International.

Gifts In Kind’s primary mission is serving as the donation conduit between for-profit companies and nonprofit organizations. Specifically, the charity works with companies to donate inventory, which is then matched to a network of 200,000+ registered charities worldwide.

Not only will members gain positive recognition from the donation, but they could earn a tax deduction of up to twice the value of the merchandise donated. Several NAHB members, including Sears and Maytag, already are working with Gifts in Kind. However, the charity can accept product donations both large and small.

To donate, complete Gifts In Kind’s Product Donation Agreement and fax to Doyle Delph 877-798-3192. For more information contact Kym Kilbourne, 800-368-5242, ext. 8447. [Return to top]
