Are Boomers Prepared For Retirement?

The final report from the 2005 White House Conference On Aging is now available. “Housing and Financial Security for Leading Edge Boomers” explores how prepared today’s boomers are for retirement. This survey describes the outlook of Americans 50 to 64 years of age as they prepare for retirement. NAHB provided partial funding for the survey that was conducted on behalf of The Coalition for Research on Baby Boomer Housing and Retirement Options. Access the full text of the report here. You can find all of NAHB’s 50+ research at www.nahb.org/50plusresearch.

2006 GM $500 Exclusive Offer for NAHB Members

During 2006, qualifying NAHB members are eligible for a $500 exclusive offer on most GM passenger cars, light-duty trucks, vans and SUVs.

NAHB members nationwide will be receiving GM NAHB Affinity Cards and details on this offer in the mail during January. The mailing will be sent directly from GM, and members should use the affinity card when purchasing a qualifying vehicle.

Members who have misplaced or otherwise do not have a GM NAHB Affinity Card may print out their own replacement cards in order to show member verification to a GM dealer. Note: Members must be logged in to http://www.nahb.org/ in order to print their replacement card.

Members with a http://www.nahb.org/ login should go to www.nahb.org/MA and click on the “GM Exclusive Offer.” This will take members to a Web page with program details and instructions for printing a replacement card.

There are also instructions for members who do not have a login (they will be sent to www.nahb.com/loginGM and returned to the page to get a replacement card).

For more information, e-mail Tiffany Smith at NAHB, or call her at 800-368-5242 x8273.
