2006 50+ Housing Council Chairs and Trustees

Norman Cohen appointed 2006 Chair of the 50+ Housing Council

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) appointed Norman Cohen as 2006 Chair of the 50+ Housing Council at the 2006 International Builders’ Show in Orlando in January.  In this role, Cohen will guide 50+ Housing Council operations and functions and will work with members who serve the growing 50+ housing market.

“I am excited about the chance to lead the 50+ Housing Council’s growth as the industry is enjoying unprecedented progress. My goal is to grow membership by emphasizing the many benefits of joining the Council,” said Cohen.

Cohen owns NSC Residential Inc. and is part of the development team at Camelot Signature Development LLC in Marietta, Ga.  He has been active in the home building industry for over 30 years.

Cohen is a former Trustee of the 50+ Housing Council and is active on several of the Council’s committees. His many past and current roles at NAHB include BUILD-PAC Alternate Trustee, 2003 Chairman of Builder 20 Trustees, and National Director representing the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association on the NAHB Executive Board.

Cohen replaces Randy Rinehart, outgoing Chair of the 50+ Housing Council.  Robert Tippets of Midvale, Utah, is on the leadership ladder as Vice Chair, and will serve as 50+ Housing Council Chair in 2007.
