Special Presentation: Age-Targeting: A Risky Plan
It may be tempting to respond to market demand for "active adult" housing by merely tailoring the marketing for communities to a certain group of mature homebuyers. However, builders who choose to age-target instead of age-restrict can be at risk for violation of fair housing law. Join the 50+ Housing Council's Advocacy, Legislative, and Rental Seniors Housing Committee for a special presentation titled "Age-Targeting: A Risky Plan," from 2:30-4:00 p.m. Thursday, May 11. An attorney with experience in this area will provide an overview of the law and discuss why builders should avoid age-targeting practices. After the presentation, there will be plenty of time for discussion. Don't miss this informative session!
