Ground Broken at Central Parke at Colonial Charles

Ground was recently broken for the new Resort Club at Central Parke at Colonial Charles, a 55+ resort community in Waldorf , Md . Central Parke® Communities is the 55+ Resort Division of Slenker Land Corporation.

The Private Resort Club offers an inviting colonial-style décor with an outdoor terrace overlooking a pond and fountains. Inside, home owners can play cards, take a cooking class, or exercise in the state-of-the-art fitness center. The community includes both an indoor or outdoor pool. The Private Resort Club also features a whirlpool spa and sauna; billiards and sports lounge; and library and business center. According to Bill Slenker, president of Central Parke Communities, all Central Parke® Communities

feature a Carefree Maintenance Program allowing residents the time to finally “live the lifestyle they deserve. In addition to the Private Resort Club, we will include nature and fitness trails, a tennis center, and a mail pavilion. We found at our other communities that the residents really enjoy stopping by the mail pavilion. Here, they can catch up with their neighbors as they pick up their mail.”

In addition to Central Parke at Colonial Charles and Victoria Falls, Central Parke® Communities is developing Central Parke at Milford in Milford , Del . Plans for more communities are underway.  For more information on Central Parke® Communities, please visit www.centralparke.com, or call their toll-free number at 800-876-7549.

Greenbrier Development, LLC Forms to Provide Services to Senior Living Sector

Greenbrier Development, LLC, will provide national development services to both not-for-profit and for-profit senior housing sponsors and operators. The firm's initial activities include an agreement with RK Development, LLC, to develop up to $800 million of senior living communities. The founding partners of Greenbrier Development, LLC, are all former members of the senior management of Greystone Communities, Inc.

"Industry trends indicate that not-for-profit systems account for most of the growth for CCRC's through new campus development and existing campus redevelopments," said Mike Gilliam, president and CEO of Greenbrier. "Many of these senior housing systems have seasoned management teams and would like to operate the completed community while leveraging the services offered by Greenbrier."
