Attendees also will have the opportunity to tour Shepard’s Cove, a recent Silver Award Winner for Best Active Adult Community in the 2006 Best of Seniors Housing Awards.

Get Involved with the Membership and Marketing Committee
Want a few great ideas for your local 50+ Housing Council? Get involved with the 50+ Housing Council’s Membership and Marketing Committee.
The committee meets during the International Builders’ Show and NAHB’s Spring and Fall Board of Directors Meetings. The committee and its Local Council Working Group also conducts monthly conference calls.
50+ Housing Council staff contacts and leaders are encouraged to join the committee. Each local council should try to send a member to at least one meeting and to regularly participate in the conference calls. It’s a great way for the local council to stay connected and find out about upcoming events as well as national benefits.
Councils discuss ways to improve membership retention and recruitment as well as provide quality education to their members. They also provide a forum for local councils to share successes and discuss challenges they face.
The next conference call is scheduled for 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. EDT Monday, July 17. To participate in the call, call 888-891-0496 and use pass code 2668292.
The next meeting will take place from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, at NAHB’s Fall Board of Directors Meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah.
