Spike Update: Recruit New 50+ Housing Council Members, Earn Spike Points!
Thanks to recent changes approved by the NAHB Membership Committee, it is even easier for
Spikes to reach the elite Spike Club ranks. Spikes can now earn credits for each and every new Council member they recruit and continue to earn ¼ credit each year they renew. It’s a great opportunity to earn Spike credits and move up the Spike Club ladder!
How Council Spike credits are awarded:
- ½ credit is earned for each new local or at-large 50+ Housing Council member recruited
- ¼ credit is earned for each local or at-large 50+ Housing Council member who renews
For Local 50+ Housing Council Staff
Local 50+ Housing Council staff or dues contacts must list the sponsor’s name and PIN on the Council Enrollment Form for the new 50+ Housing Council member, and they will receive ½ credit for recruiting a new 50+ Housing Council member. The sponsor also will earn ¼ retention credit when the 50+ Housing Council member renews.
For 50+ Housing Council At-Large Members
At-large members also can earn Spike credit for recruiting new members. When signing up a new member, make sure your Spike PIN (NAHB Member PIN) and Spike Name are included on the at-large membership form. You will receive ½ Spike point for each new at-large member you recruit.
NAHB recognizes that Councils are an active, vital part of our association membership. Recruiting and retaining new council members is great way to move up the Spike Club ladder and earn more rewards! For more details about the Spike Club, visit www.nahb.org/spikeclub or call 800-368-5242 x8337.
