Northeast Fall Symposium Hosted by 50+ New England Housing Council
The 50+ New England Housing Council will host its fourth annual Northeast Fall Symposium in the Greater Providence area, November 1-2, 2006. Taking its theme from the Ocean State, the Council is urging builders and developers to “Catch the 50+ Wave!”
“Builders and developers of active adult housing recognize the challenging market conditions,” said 50+ New England Housing Council chairperson Jane O’Connor. “This Symposium will offer strategies and insights that will help their 50-plus housing projects surf to success.”
The 2006 Northeast Fall Symposium is a two-day event. It is expected to attract more than 125 developers/builders of 50+ housing, as well as industry experts and insiders from Pennsylvania to Maine.
Speakers for the 2006 Symposium include regional presenters and nationally-recognized experts such as Thomas Mann, senior vice president for Erickson Retirement Communities; David Drinkwater, New England VP for the National Association of Realtors; Barbara Batshalom of Green Building Roundtable; and Kathy East, senior vice president, Creating Results Strategic Marketing.
The program features sessions on:
- Economic and Housing Industry Forecasts,
- Financial Services Tools for builders in challenging times,
- Modular Construction and Green/LEED design,
- Customization to meet the demands of baby boomer buyers, and
- Sales and Marketing success stories.
“Each year, 50+ New England Housing Council Symposium is the premiere fall event, thanks to the quality speakers and attendees who participate,” said Dave Fulton, 50+ New England vice chair and 2006 Symposium chair. “The program this year includes a new feature: breakout sessions that let all attendees dig deeper into topics, sharing strategies and ideas.”
The 2006 Northeast Fall Symposium is open to builders, developers and others who are interested in learning more about age-qualified or age-targeted housing. The National Association of Home Builders cites 50+ housing as the fastest growing market in New England.
