Get Revved Up for National Membership Day and Win!

There’s still time to join forces with the NAHB 50+ Housing Council and the National Association of Home Builders on National Membership Day 2007, Tuesday, May 22. Participate in the “NAHB Members: Leaders of the Pack” membership drive by signing up new 50+ Housing Council members.

The 50+ Housing Council is sponsoring two National Membership Day contests – one for local/regional 50+ Housing Councils and an individual recruiter competition.

National Membership Day Fast Facts

  • Tuesday, May 22
  • 12 noon-5 p.m. ET
  • Call-in number: 800-899-6242
  • Local Council and Individual Prizes

Local 50+ Housing Council Competition

How can your 50+ Housing Council and HBA make the most of its membership drive? Hold it in conjunction with NAHB’s National Membership Day! Work closely with your council to hold a spring campaign. Compete against other local councils.

  • The top local, regional or state 50+ Housing Council that recruits the most new members during May will receive a $250 credit voucher for University of Housing student materials. This can be used to offer courses affiliated with the new Certified Active Adult Specialist in Housing (CAASH) designation coming in 2007.

  • The top council will be recognized at NAHB’s Fall Board Meeting and in 50+ Housing Magazine and 50+ Housing e/Source.

Individual Recruiter Competition

All 50+ Housing Council members (local and at-large) can participate in the National Membership Day and be eligible for the following prizes:

  • The top recruiter will receive one complimentary registration to Building for Boomers & Beyond: 50+ Housing Symposium in New Orleans, in May 2008.

  • If you sign up three or more 50+ Housing Council members, you will receive a $25 American Express gift card.

  • You will receive double Spike Points for every new member your recruit and double retention points for every member you retain throughout the month of May.

  • If you sign up six new 50+ Housing Council members, you are eligible to win a new Chill and Grill cooler from NAHB.

Participating in National Membership Day is simple, and the rewards are plenty.

  1. Call into the special hotline, 800-899-6242 on Tuesday, May 22, between noon abd 5:00 p.m. ET and report your projected new members for the month of May.

  2. Local, regional and state 50+ Housing Councils must submit their May membership reports to NAHB by Thursday, May 31, to be eligible for NMD prizes. Councils must include the names of Spike Sponsors and Spike PINs on the Council Enrollment Form to ensure their members get credit.

  3. Individual recruiters must submit their Individual Recruiter Tracking Form by Friday, June 8. Forms can be sent to Jeff Jenkins by fax to 202-266-8195 or e-mail at jjenkins@nahb.com.
