How to Earn CAASH
The CAASH designation gives housing professionals serving the rapidly growing 50+ housing market the essential knowledge, tools and skills that will help them succeed--from conducting initial research to design considerations and features to closing the sale and serving the customer.
There are two ways to earn the CAASH designation:
To be Grandfathered into the program (this option expires Dec. 1):
- Submit the completed professional profile and fee to The NAHB University of Housing no later than Dec. 1.
- Have a minimum of 10 years experience in the 50+ housing field.
- Provide evidence of 80 elective credits.
Regular CAASH Applicants (non-Grandfathered candidates):
- Successfully complete three required courses in the Active Adult Professional Development Series.
- Have a minimum of 3 years experience in the 50+ housing field.
- Provide evidence of 50 elective credits.
- Adhere to the CAASH Code of Ethics.
