Project Looking Glass Gets Inside Retirement Living
In an effort to help marketers better communicate with today’s senior population, two researchers from the 55+ marketing firm, Varsity, will become full-time residents at Garden Spot Village, a continuing care retirement community in Lancaster County, Pa.
The research effort, known as Varsity’s Project Looking Glass, will place researchers Bob Fell and Lori Aulenbach in the community for 31 days. While there, the pair will study the physiology and psychology of residents and deliver their findings in fall 2007.
“Our overriding goal is to gain insights that will help companies develop and market better products and services for the senior population,” said Fell. “What we discover during our time at Garden Spot Village could change the way we communicate with what is arguably one of the most powerful audiences in America.”
The survey being used in Project Looking Glass is available to retirement communities and brands across the nation. To review the web-based survey or offer it to your residents and customers, visit the Project Looking Glass page at http://www.varsityone.com/. All project partners will receive their community’s survey results as well as national results and a summary of Project Looking Glass findings.
