Apply for NAHB's New CAASH Designation
NAHB's new Certified Active Adult Specialist in Housing (CAASH) designation gives housing professionals serving the rapidly growing 50+ housing market the essential knowledge, tools and skills to help them succeed — from conducting initial research to design considerations and features to closing the sale and servicing the mature customer.
To apply for the CAASH designation:
- Meet the requirements
- Complete the three CAASH courses
- Designing for the Active Adult
- Selling to Active Adults
- Trends and Research Methods to Define the Active Adult Lifestyle
- Have a minimum of three years in the 50+ housing industry
- Show evidence of 50 elective credits
- Submit your application by Dec. 15, 2007
- Go to www.nahb.org/caashinfo to fill out the CAASH application
Industry veterans also can apply to be grandfathered for the CAASH designation. To be eligible, you must:
New CAASH inductees and those who are grandfathered will be recognized at the CAASH Induction Ceremony/50+ Housing Council Networking Dinner to be held Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, during the 2008 International Builders' Show in Orlando, Fla.
