Deadline for Best of 50+ Housing Awards Extended to March 3

Thinking about entering your community, clubhouse or marketing campaign in The 2008 Best of 50+ Housing Awards? Well, there's still time to submit your entry. The deadline for all entry materials has been extended to COB Monday, March 3.

Entries also will accepted through Friday, March 7, with a late fee of $50 per category.

Presented by the NAHB 50+ Housing Council, the Best of 50+ Housing Awards honors builders, developers, architects, designers and marketing professionals involved in the 50+ housing market.  Enter your community designs, model merchandising, and advertising and marketing efforts. There are more than 50 categories in all.

If you build active adult or lifestyle communities, you can enter a number of active adult design categories ranging from overall community and clubhouse design to condominium unit design and model home merchandising. If you are involved in the service-enriched side of the market, there are design categories for assisted living, congregate/independent living, continuing care retirement communities, mixed-use, multifamily housing, renovated housing and special-needs housing.

The Best of 50+ Housing Awards also recognizes excellence in marketing, allowing builders and sales and marketing professionals to compete against the industry’s best. Individual marketing categories include logo, community brochure, direct-mail piece/campaign, Web site, black-and-white and color print advertisement, radio and television commercial, sales center and special promotion.

The 2008 Best of 50+ Housing Awards gala will take place Tuesday, May 20, during the 2008 Building for Boomers & Beyond: 50+ Housing SymposiumSM at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel in New Orleans, La. The Symposium is the premier networking and educational event for professionals serving the 50+ housing market.
