Show Your Expertise … Earn NAHB’s CAASH Designation

Earn NAHB’s Certified Active Adult Specialist in Housing (CAASH) designation. If you are a builder, developer or housing professional working with the 50+ market, separate yourself from the pack by earning the CAASH designation.

The CAASH designation includes three courses:

  • Designing for the Active Adult — This one-day course gives you an overview of design features to consider when planning single-family and multifamily housing for active adults. Learn how to meet the needs of this diverse market and provide them with the housing options they demand.
  • Selling to Active Adults — To improve your sales success with the active adult home buyer, it's critical to have sales strategies specific to this complex customer. This course will share techniques to more effectively communicate with active adult customers, handle any objections, and close the sale.
  • Trends and Research to Define the Active Adult Lifestyle — Learn how to better identify and serve the needs of boomers and beyond. This course assists builders, developers and other housing professionals in gaining a greater and more in-depth understanding of planning for the active adult community and the importance of market research before development.

Taking the CAASH courses will give you expanded knowledge of the burgeoning 50+ market, improved marketing and customer service skills, and networking with your peers in 50+ housing. Once you complete requirements for the CAASH designation, you will be recognized at the CAASH Graduation Ceremony at the 2009 International Builders’ Show next January in Las Vegas. You also will be listed in the CAASH Online Designation Directory.

Check out the CAASH designation requirements and complete schedule of CAASH courses offered by local HBAs, regional shows and national conferences.
