  • Free Home Technology Web Seminar July 22

A free web seminar — Builders & Home Technology: A Key Part of Your Business Success — will feature a panel of home-building and technology experts discussing the increasing importance of home technology, and specifically why builders need embrace this change if their businesses are to thrive in the future.

The material is based on the Consumer Electronic Association's 7th Annual State of the Builder Technology Market Study. Even in a market downturn, builders must continue thinking about their business's health, and home technology is one area that can contribute to it. Consumers are more aware of the many technologies that enhance their home life, whether it's the fun of home theater or more practical amenities such as lighting control and home security. While the current economic conditions have softened consumer purchases of these technologies, builders can take advantage of consumer desire for technologies in their marketing.

Audience members will be shown:

* What technologies are most popular
* Why installing home technology makes good business sense
* How to develop and strengthen relationships with ESCs and installers

The program will feature:
*  Steve Koenig (moderator), Director, Industry Analysis, Consumer Electronics Association
*  Stephen Hann (builder), GMB, CGR, CGP, HTA Chair, President, Hann Builders
*  Matt Carter (ESC), CEO, Encore Systems
