(Bill) Becker and four other winners during its Icons of the Industry Awards at Building for Boomers & Beyond: Seniors Housing Symposium 2005 on May 18 in Chantilly, VA. Now in its fifth year, the Icons Awards program recognized individuals and companies who have contributed to the 50+ housing market through leadership and innovation. "The Icons are leaders and visionaries in active adult and seniors housing," said Randolph Rinehart, chairman of the Seniors Housing Council. "The 50+ market is one of the fastest-growing segments of the industry, and the 2005 Icons have set the bar for professionalism and have left a lasting impression on our industry." Becker, MIRM, SHMS, is the second recipient of the Icons' Lifetime Achievement Award, which is presented to an individual who has made significant contributions to the Seniors Housing Council and the seniors housing industry.
