New Locations for NAHB Shows Scheduled in New Orleans

Two NAHB conferences — the 2005 Custom Builder Symposium and SHOWCASE — have been relocated from the storm-ravaged New Orleans area. The Custom Builder Symposium now will take place at the same time in Atlanta, but with even more anticipated offerings, as previously planned on November 11-13. It's taken nothing less than a Herculean effort to reschedule and relocate everything on time, but it's going to happen!

A yeoman's effort was needed to relocate the 2005 Building Systems Councils' SHOWCASE, but that, too, was accomplished in record time. SHOWCASE will now be held in Louisville, KY, on November 6-9, as originally planned.

American House Opens Doors to Katrina Refugees

American House of Bloomfield Hills, MI, a member of the NAHB 50+ Housing Council, is going to accept more than 50 seniors refugees who have been displaced by Hurricane Katrina. They have also started collecting donations from staff and current residents to provide the new residents with necessary personal affects. This will help elderly and disabled victims of the hurricane find the care and shelter they need.

Creating Results, LLC, a full-service strategic marketing company based in Occoquan, VA, is pleased to announce recent staff changes. The company recently hired Julie Fuller Couch as its director of first impressions.  Couch comes to Creating Results from RedPeg Marketing in Alexandria, Va., where she was a project manager directing new product launches for clients such as Dunkin’ Donuts, General Mills, and Nestle.

In the firm's marketing department, Kathy East and Andrea Rocconi were promoted to client services directors after successful stints as marketing program directors. Erin Read Ruddick with the New England division of Creating Results also was promoted from marketing program director to client services director.  Creating Results opened the New England division in January to offer companies in the region the benefits of the agency’s strategic approach to marketing and its unique understanding of consumers — especially of active adult and affluent consumers.
