Explore Business Opportunities In Mexico

Explore Business Opportunities In Mexico

NAHB International is organizing a Trade Mission to Puerto Vallarta and other sites in the Banderas Bay area to give U.S. builders, suppliers, and other housing industry professionals a chance to explore business opportunities in this growing residential, resort and retirement area. The Trade Mission will consist of personalized meetings with builder members of Mexico’s Construction Industry Chamber (CMIC), government and tourism officials, and U.S.-backed development project managers. Trade Mission participants will also visit developments at locations such as Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit, Costa Banderas, and Punta de Mita.

Activities during the mission will include:

  • U.S. Embassy Foreign Commercial Service briefings and Q&A sessions about local and regional housing markets, best sales prospects, and marketing strategies. Doing business in Mexico overviews will provide a basis for understanding the Mexican culture, business practices, resource and payment issues and due diligence for working in the market.
  • Meetings with Mexican government and tourism officials and U.S.-backed private developers for discussions about building opportunities, land ownership for foreigners, and what to look for in a Mexican partner. Also, market trends and design and consumer preferences will be discussed.
  • Guided site tours of high-end residential, resort, and retirement communities, and condominiums such as Paradise Village, Nuevo Sensara, and Las Palmas de Punta de Mita.
