Local 50+ Housing Council News

The Florida Home Builders Association is in the process of launching a state 50+ Housing Council this year. The Florida 50+ Housing Council will hold a formation meeting during the 2008 International Builders' Show in Orlando. The meeting will take place from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the Orange County Convention Center, West 107, Level I.

In addition, several local councils are offering the Certified Active Adult Specialist in Housing (CAASH) designation courses this spring. The schedule is as follows:

  • Greater Washington 50+ Housing Council — Shulman, Rodgers, Gandal, Pordy & Eckert, PA, 11921 Rockville Pike, Rockville, Md. The Designing for the Active Adult course will be offered Tuesday, Feb. 5. Contact Samantha Ager by e-mail or 301-445-5411 to register.
