INNOVATION
One of five Innovation winners this year is Vallagio at Inverness, developed by Metropolitan Homes. This Gold-winning community connected suburban living with urban lifestyles through the areas light rail system.
Vallagio at Inverness, minutes from the Denver metropolitan
area, won the Gold award for midsize active adult community.
This transit-oriented development affords residents the excitement of urban living in a suburban location. Developers partnered with local transit officials to create a covered pedestrian connection to the area’s light rail station, allowing car-free access to city activities, employment centers, parks, and theaters. Four-story flats with open floor plans and personal elevators provide aging-in-place design and accommodates the need for space and circulation. European architectural influences, combined with sustainable materials, complement the community’s surrounding region. See more innovative projects in the July Issue of 50+ Housing e/Source.
