State & Local Issues Fund Applications Available for Spring Board
The next deadline for State & Local Issues Fund (SLIF) applications is May 3.  The SLIF is designed to provide support to HBAs in order to successfully deal with a legislative, regulatory, or ballot issue that has national significance or is a common industry problem whose resolution could be precedent setting.

We encourage you to think creatively about what issues you might be dealing with and if an application to the SLIF would be helpful. The State & Local Government Affairs Committee, which will review SLIF applications at its Spring Board meeting, is particularly interested in those applications that deal with emerging issues as identified through the most recent NAHB Critical Issues Survey – whether they are national or regional in scope.

For a copy of the Critical Issues Survey’s executive summary or for more information about the SLIF, please e-mail Alex Strong in NAHB's Government Affairs Department , or call him at 800-368-5242 x8279.
